As we progress through the summer months here in the Quad Cities, it brings us closer to the ever so popular Mississippi Valley Fair. Whether you are a ride enthusiast, fair food addict or music lover, the fair offers something for everyone. You can indulge in everything tasty that the vendors have to offer while you give your ears a soothing melody to enjoy. Music lovers have a large range of artists to choose from when it comes to live music. The Valley Fair offers big name concerts, referred to as the Grandstand Entertainment, every night starting at 8 pm, with genres varying from country to rock. Along with the Grandstand artists they have the Nightly Band Fair, which features popular local bands like The Binjers which will play at the Pavilion on August 3rd. The Nightly Band Fair offers fair goers 3 different locations to choose from to see their favorite local bands such as; The Farmer’s Tent, Pavilion, and the Shed. To check out all the musicians’ locations and times visit the Valley Fair website. While the type of insurance that vendors and musicians are required to hold is unknown, a good assumption would be Commercial General Liability and even Inland Marine, to better protect their instruments and equipment. If you haven’t bought your Fun Card ticket yet, there is still time, support the locals and your community and join in on the fun. This year’s fair is sure to be a hit!
